You think it cannot happen to you, but it can. Decades ago i was mauled by a leopard I luckily had a good doctor but getting home was arduous. Another safari I had a stomach blockage and almost died because the two doctors could not figure out what was wrong with me. A nurse saved my life. When Global Rescue appeared on the travel scene i joined immediately.

Krgyzstan is a very very corrupt country and anything can happen. You would have to be crazy to go there on a Hunting Safari without at the very least travel Insurance. I'll be using Global Rescue next time I go there for sure...You never know how good your insurance is until you need it. I bought insurance from USAA before my second trip to Kyrgyzstan. They used every trick...and the fine print.. to avoid paying for the exact purpose of the policy. A waste of money. Global Rescue, on the other hand, gives what they promise. Problems can happen at any age, but they are more likely to occur in older people, or those with pre-existing conditions. Whether or not you buy a policy requires a little self assessment (in addition to reading the exclusions.) Rovos Rail requires GR (or the equivalent) before boarding the train, and other tourist activities are following in this trend..........................FWB
does global rescue actually pay for a medical treatment if needed any foreign country for example, if I would have a heart attack will they pay for my hospital stay and treatment
@Paul H. that was my question, we saw several Black Mamba during our TZ Safari and I asked the PH “If one of us got bit…?” Didn’t even get the rest of the Question out of my mouth before he replied “You’re done - 2 hours maybe 3, without getting Antivenin fast you have No chance”. Not sure what that treatment costs and highly doubtful I could get to a hospital in less then 12-24 hours anyway…(from where we were hunting) but curious about treatment costs & coveragedoes global rescue actually pay for a medical treatment if needed any foreign country for example, if I would have a heart attack will they pay for my hospital stay and treatment
