Largest "Body" Eland I've ever laid my hands on 50"+neck circumference.
To give you some perspective a 250-300lb black bear has a 45"-48" belly girth measurement and are about 56" measured nose to tail. From the tip of the Eland's nose here to the back of the mount of his shoulder is over 5 feet.
Full Pedestal w/African cut out base
Black Wildebeest "Custom Made " wall pedestal head-up sweep.
Kudu wall pedestal
Blesbok shoulder
Gemsbok shoulder
Springbok wall pedestal
Blue Wildebeest Wall pedestal

They look great, that will be a happy hunter!

Yes sir that is a fine looking eland!

Wow, great work...and that is a massive Eland!

Beautiful work. That is a great way to mount the Blue. Really shows the beautiful color and striping of the hide.

I think the blue wildebeest and black wildebeest are stunning! You can see all the individual hairs on the animals.

Fantastic stuff Dennis! I can hardly wait...

Stunning! What a gorgeous set of trophies! Just like being there, and isn't that why we have them mounted?

Congratulations to the hunter. He will be proud for sure.

You have certainly created some excellent examples for beginning taxidermy students to strive to achieve. Very nice mounts!

Probably the best Black Wildebeest mount I've ever seen - great work
And stunning Springbok mount - great detail on that one and nice natural look
Nice work on the paint detail in those Kudu ears - topnotch...

Thanks Nos , Have always hated the forms they make for B W's had down and droopy. The setting of the mane on top to me it what's makes them , plus unlike these the standard form I now raise the heads on all of them, I just like the look better.
Here are 3 more but out of the box forms , head down, just don't like them anymore,

As for the springbok lots of unlying clay is sculpted into that form for a soft soft eye and nose look then especially at the ears and skull junction, the muscle detail of the three muscle parts that make a ear move.

The "Killer" Kudu ears, yes has a lot to do with Jamies finishing of course, I give him good ears to work with , But to TRULY make a KUDU"s ears POP is getting the hair on the inside top to flair right and be groomed correctly . TO MANY KUDU ears are not looked after, and the white hair that in fact is what helps keep some bugs out while he alive is just left to shrival up from the tanning process and dry into the ear flat.....The white hairs on these Kudu ears are what ALL Kudu ears on all mouth should look like. To me THAT'S what pops that airbrush paint job, THANKS ! A lot goes into a good piece...all the little things....

I see what you mean about the head angle - agree with you 100%
Those are the little things that make the difference between a "nice" mount and a "really nice" mount ...
