Fusion Safari ammo discontinued?

I was asking a importer and store here in Norway about if he could order some .458 Win and Lott ammo for me to try,a couple of boxes of each i was thinking of.

He said the Fusion Safari ammo was not made any longer .

Is this true or just something he said as to get away from the request on the ammo since it was on " order only" and sell something else instead of ?

Federal is definitely still producing their "safari" line of ammunition..

I wasnt aware that they ever made any of their fusion ammo for big bores though.. I think the largest I have ever seen here in the US was .338 WM in fusion..

All ammunition manufactured in the US is very difficult to obtain right now. We had a major run on both guns and ammunition in 2020, and the manufacturers of ammunition have had a very difficult time keeping up with demand and catching back up. Between the steep increase in demand, and the decrease in components availability due to COVID, they simply havent been able to produce nearly enough ammo (or even reloading components) to meet the needs of the domestic/US market.. I would imagine ammunition from Federal, Winchester, Remington, Hornady, etc is almost completely nonexistent outside of the US right now.

They are or have been .375 , .416 .458 Win and Lott.

He also wrote only he had was a batch of Nosler ammo he got a couple of days previous to the mail i sent. As the Fusion was modest priced compared to other types to try a few shot before serious reloads and papermill goes through.

I shot .458 Win Mag and .416 Rigby both on the range around ten years ago. Never hunted with it. Don't know about now. The only Fusion caliber I have bought in the last year was .300 Win Mag and maybe 30.06.
