    SOLD

I am selling my custom built Winston Elrod 300 H&H.

Price is now $2,900 reduced from $3,900

Winston is one of Amercica's finest gun/stock makers. The rifle is built on a Kimber 89 BGR controlled round feed action. The barrel is a 24" long Douglas, 10" twist.

The metal work is matte and the stock finish is satin.

It has integral scope bases and comes with what I believe are Kimber 1" rings.

It has a barrel band swivel and skeleton grip cap.

The price of the rifle is less than Winston charges to build a stock. His rifles sell for $5,000 + up to over $11,000. (Look on Guns International)

This is truly a fine example of American workmanship.

Thanks guys for the compliments on the rifle. Winston builds a really fine rifle.

Someone will be getting a good deal and won't have to wait the time it takes to get a custom rifle built.

It shot very well with some 200 gr TSX's reloads I had.

I didn't take any pics of the targets.

Getting closer to my price range - have been looking at some Cooper's, but your gun caught my eye. She is a beauty.

dt, good luck in your decision.

A Cooper factory rifle isn't an Elrod custom built rifle.

I purchased the M70 404 Jeffery last year from LRich and am very pleased with both the rifle and the transaction. To the fortunate person that purchases this outstanding rifle, I give my personal guarantee that you will be overwhelmed by this rifle and with the entire transaction with Mr Rich. I was that pleased with my transaction.

bilmcc, the LOP, by my measurement, is 13 7/8" - 14". Depends on where on the pad I measure.

Ray B, thank you so much for the kind words. You were great to deal with yourself.

I'm so glad the 404 Jeffery worked out for you. I loved that rifle.

I think most people on these sites try their best to represent what they have for sale.

    I'm not a dealer, just a hunter.

Someone is going to be getting one sweet rifle chambered in one sweet cartridge. Wish it could be me but I just dropped a fair bit of money on a 458 Lott. As with this rifle (which I've just discovered), the deal was too good to pass up.

    Yes, DTDolan,

It is really a fine rifle. Would have thought someone would have bought it by now.

    I'll consider offers.
