Thank you! It was going to be my DG rifle for Africa so I invested some $$$ into it. Had MG Arms in Spring, TX do the work and they did a great job. However, the more I researched here and with some PH's in Africa I came to the conclusion that single shot rifle would probably not be an ideal choice (at least for me). Therefore I hope to sell it and invest in a good bolt action for the DG hunts. I thought the price would be fair but I obviously hope it does better at auction! With the Dead Mule inside it barely has any recoil at all and is dead on target.

Don’t be too hasty to part with it if you like the rifle. I’ve shot a number of buffalo and one elephant. I would not hesitate to use this rifle on buffalo. With a little practice you will be just about as fast as a bolt gun on follow up. Just make the first shot count!

How about a trade for a Winchester 70 African super express New Haven in 375 H&H?
I would love to! But someone just bid on the Ruger.... Is yours for sale?

Ohhhhh...... that's a nice rifle. Love those Ruger #1's - clean, functional simplicity.

Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian

Heard you may have load data for the 500 Jeffery,.....any info would be appreciated. Was thinking 535gr, but already had a response that the 570gr would be a better way to go, not sure why.
