That is a great rifle. You are right, this is a highly sought after rifle.

That is easily one of the best bolt action 22 rim fires ever made. Definitely the best Remington!

These rifles are as accurate as guns that cost 4x as much. Match grade barrels and triggers

I have handled/shot/or owned the 11, 37, 40x, 511, 512, 513, 521, 541 and maybe several others I just can’t remember that far back, but the 541 impressed me the most. Remington seemed to have pulled all the best from all the others.
I still have the 521t which shoots extremely well in spite of the non-adjustable trigger (rough and maybe 7lb pull!) and my old eyes shooting through the Lyman peep sight. I need to find a softer trigger spring for it and polish the sear a bit.

My first rifle was a 521-T Rem. Used it in .22 league in the early 60's, in a basement in downtown Seattle of all places!!

IT HAS BEEN SOLD

Perfect safari trainer...

Absolutely perfect rifle (with the Winchester 52) for full-size-rifle .22 lr practice out to 150 yards from the sticks on a 6" steel plate.

Mine is a Winchester 52 B (modern manufacturing by Miroku), but both the Remington 541 T and the Win 52 B (with a few Anschutz and the Walther KKJ) are in the same niche: superb quality, high precision, grown men .22 lr rifles. I put a Zeiss in Talley rings & bases on mine and I typically burn 5,000 rounds of .22 lr Thunderbolt standing from the sticks at 100 and 150 yd each spring & summer before heading to Africa.

Congratulations to the buyer, and I can only hope Jager Waffen74, that you will not regret it...

Winchester 52 B .22 lr, Zeiss scope, sticks and 6" steel plate. Perfect for 150 yd, unlimited and virtually free safari training.

The Thunderbolt is not the best in term of accuracy and consistency (understatement of the year!) but it is so cheap that it is virtually free, and it holds 4 MOA (4" @ 100 yd), which is good enough for a 6" steel plate at 150 yd.

Win 52 & Thunderbolt @ 100 yd.jpg

Winchester 52 B .22 lr. 20 Thunderbolt at 100 yards standing, off the sticks.

Here is the game: you win when you get 5 consecutive series of 5 shots to ring the plate at 150 yd. Each miss resets the entire count. Try it, it is not as easy at it sounds, and it will do wonders for your shooting off the sticks during your next safari :)
