Got one on my 300WM. Works well. Only complaint is the crosshairs seem a little heavy for really long range work, but ideal out to 500 yards for me. That’s as far as I’ll ever shoot an animal anyway, and then only coyote and maybe antelope. Antelope in the flats in WY can be tough to get any closer to. Still I prefer a good stalk.
I agree, I have one on my 300WSM and the same in 56mm on my SPR AR in 5.56. Strangely enough, the Firedot Duplex in the 3-15 VX5HD is actually much thinner than the same reticle in my 2-12 VX6HD
Here is my 9 year old getting in some trigger time. Like you, I find the crosshair size to be acceptable at distance....depending on the target size of course.
