Helluva a great deal, good luck !
Why dont you put Toby out of his misery by buying it - as it's an incredible deal - and then just reload it down to ease the recoil?WOW! If I could handle the recoil, I’d jump on this! That’s got to be another $500 worth of extras!
In his book on buffalo hunting, Ron Thomson’s battery was a 458 Lott for backup and a 375 H&H for general use and loaning to clients.
Sorry enough to plunk down some cash?Toby458, I am starting to feel sorry for you.....
Toby, any Dakota is a fine rifle, but I have no need for a Lott. .416 Rigby is as big as I go!Sorry enough to plunk down some cash?
The Lott will do 400gr bullets at 2400fps! And.....has a smaller case! So....the Rigby is NOT a smaller gun! So, this should be reason enough for you to fork out some dinero!Toby, any Dakota is a fine rifle, but I have no need for a Lott. .416 Rigby is as big as I go!
The action and cartridge are awesome. If one wants to swap the stock it would be a fantastic opportunity to customize.
I have the same.I was thinking the same thing. I’m both relieved and sad it’s not in Europe. I have a medical condition that every now and then causes firearms I don’t necessarily need appear in my safe. Just like .416 Rem M70 that just followed me home last month.
I have found penury is the only antidote! And, if I had the cash for this in my bank it would have sold immediately before I saw the post!I was thinking the same thing. Yep, had to look that one up.penury
Yep, had to look that one up.
And yes, you are correct...it is the only antidote.
