Just thought I would pass this along as it is a beautiful example of AHR's work.

Beautiful wood for sure. I have the same CZ in same caliber different wood I bought two years ago brand new for $1200. Would never criticize anyone on here but $5,000 is extremely high

Same discussion as a few weeks ago in https://www.africahunting.com/threa...for-us4000-anyone-has-info-or-opinions.56079/

Confusion between a CZ factory rifle and a custom AHR rifle built on a CZ 550 action...

Admittedly, since AHR also do tune-ups of CZ 550 factory rifles, this can be a little mystifying...

In this case: custom barrel, custom rear sight, custom front sight, custom stock, etc. It was really built from the action up, so it qualifies as a custom AHR rifle, not a tuned up factory rifle, hence the price because the hours of delicate hand labor are definitely there...

Whether the exhibition-grade wood, bedded cross-bolts, ebony forehand tip, wood seal and finish, hand checkering, precision glass bedding, action tune up, custom barrel, English-style rear sight, NECG front sight, barrel band swivel, flawless polish and bluing, AHR 3 position safety, straightened and filled bolt handle, AHR single stage trigger, etc. are worth $4,600 over the $1,200 factory rifle price ... will be decided by the market...

Can you get the same functionality from a $1,200 factory rifle + a $795 AHR Upgrade #1 + a $300 B&C kevlar stock with full length aluminum bedding block? Yes. But it will not be anywhere near as beautiful as this one...

As mentioned previously in other threads, for the decades when the Mauser 98 magnum-length action was out of production (1939 to 2015), Rigby used to sell their own rifles like this one (built on CZ 550 actions too) for $10,000...

It has been on GunBroker for a little while. There were also recently a similar .375 for $4,000 and a similar .458 also for $4,000. AH member Av8or purchased the .375 and I have not seen the .458 for a few weeks. It may have sold too...

Yeah this isn't a run of the mill cz. This is an American hunting rifles custom. I would say the chunk of wood is probably $600 as a blank. Its price is probably pretty reasonable for the quality of the work

First time out , open sights off of shooting sticks@45 yds. Definitely AHR custom rifle, beautiful and worth the $ . I bought the 375 H&H and love it.
