I have bought a few new rifles recently (and eyeing some more) and it is time to “thin the herd,” I have this one and probably a few more to list. If interested parties would like to contact me by phone or FaceTime I am more than willing and can provide contact information. I am located in Northern Virginia if you would like to meet in person.

This is a Browning FN action and barrel with a custom stock. The serial number (2L 16006) identifies the rifle as a 1962 model, pre-salt wood. It looks like the bottom metal has been changed and the stock bedded. The stock does have a slight hair line fracture at the tang. Since I acquired the rifle I had the butt pad changed (added a Silvers pad), stock checkering added, and stock relief at the tang.

I have not fired this rifle or mounted a scope, bases are attached. The open sights have been removed, but the holes are present to mount a rear sight. I have attached many pictures to show the rifle’s condition. If anyone would like additional pictures please let me know and I will provide.

Asking $1350.00 shipped from my FFL to the buyer’s FFL via UPS. Continental U.S preferably, but if anyone from AK or HI is interested we can check shipping rates.

Please reply or DM me with any questions.

I dont need it,,,,but boy do I want it. lol Need to stay strong

Nice rifle. I have the exact 1962 era case for that gun. Yours has some of the prettiest wood I’ve seen on a safari grade.

Oh I’d give my left arm for that rifle. Beautiful

If I didn't already have a M70 win in 300 H&H I would have bought this one.

Do you have the rear sight? what is the LOP?

This is a fantastic deal, this gun is far superior to anything you could buy today at that price point. The FN action is really nice!!

+1 that this is a great deal on a beautiful rifle. Having three of them myself, one could make a strong argument that the custom stock is a notable improvement over the factory one (nice as they are). That figuring, the schnabel foreend, and the Silvers pad look great on that rifle. If I didn't already have a 308 Norma Magnum in this model, I would be really tempted by this deal. Someone is going to get a fine rifle at a great price. GLWS!

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
