If I wanted that rifle, I would have already hit the buynow, its a bargain at that price, IM oh so very humble Opinion.
I agree great action would make for a nice custom build. I cant recall that the ZKK action ever came in lott but I know for sure it came in 458 win mag.
I believe you are correct. My PH last year had one reamed out to 458 express, using basic brass. I thought it was pretty cool.
Thanks Bullthrower338, I'm a massive collector of the zkk actions my 404 is also built on one! One calibre I know exists in the Zkk is the 300H&H although it is very rare but I will find one one day
If it had the peep then I would have to lock myself in the basement until the darned thing was sold, or risk marital discord!
Pheroze we have a couple gunsmith's in S.A. that have those peep sights laying around! Let me know and I can see if I can help you!
Now that would be cool! I didn’t know there was a 300 H&H in a ZKK! Thanks for the information. I love the 300 H&H! Cheers, Cody
I have seen an old manual that someone had posted on another site with regards to the different models that where available at the time and it clearly stated 300H&H and even a 9.3x62 but I have never ever seen one. I will try and look for the article with the old manual that was attached.
Has this rifle ever been originally chambered in the cartridge? Did some research and one result was this round is too long for an action made for the .458 WM. Curious as to ejection issues due to a longer round or is the port plenty long enough? It's basically the same dimensions except for being .300" longer.
Buy Now was just over 1k. From what I can find, it was never chambered in the Lott. But I have seen several chambered for it and for the express, which is longer yet. I do not believe the port needs to be relieved but possibly the magazine might need some work to go to an express
If it had a low buy it now....I agree buy! .458 Lott is a little too much for me but maybe downloaded it could be .404 Jeffrey
I think I'm going to retract. There is no inspection period. Gun is being sold as is, no refunds or exchanges. Run away.
Wise man. When I see "it was reamed", my first question is "who was the gunsmith"? Rifles aren't "reamed", they are rechambered. From this chair, there are too many red flags, the first one being the price. I didn't see the no inspection period. Cash only, another red flag. Like you said RUN AWAY! Having said all that, a used rifle with a rechambered barrel's value is whatever the action and stock are worth and then unless a rare or premium piece, only half the price of new. In other words, if I were to buy this, I'd sell the barrel and stock for bargain prices and keep the action. YMMV.
