Cleaning out my library of books I've read and don't think I need to hold on to so hope some on here may be interested in getting a copy.

1. Cries of the Savanna (hardcover) - Sue Tidwell - $10 plus $5 shipping
2. The Man Eaters of Tsavo (paperback) - Patterson - $4 plus $5 shipping
3. Bateleur (paperback novel) - Craig Doria - $10 plus $5 shipping. (new book release in 2026, good read)
4. A Hunter's Wanderings in Africa (paperback) - Frederick Selous - $2 plus $5 shipping
5. Morning Shadows, Evening Sun: Stories of Namibia's Professional Hunters (hardcover) - Fitzpatrick - $12 plus $5 shipping
6. My African Sunrise (paperback) - Catherine Robertson - $5 plus $5 shipping. (Good stories of growing up in Africa by Kevin Robertsons's wife)
7. It Shouldn't Happen: Light hearted African adventures (hardcover) - Kevin Robertson - $25 plus $5 shipping

8. Horn of the Hunter (paperback) - Ruark - $7 plus $5 shipping
9. Facing Down Fear (paperback) - John Sharp - $15 plus $5 shipping. (enjoyable read)
10. The Practical Shot: field guide to shot placement on African game (paperback) - Oelofse - $10 plus $5 shipping (book is out of print, similar to Robertson's The Perfect Shot)

11. Hunting Across the Danube: through fields, forests and mountains of Hungary and Romania (hardcover) - Peter Lewis Horn - $30 plus $10 shipping. (This book has been out of print for some time and a little hard to find at times, good read if interested in hunting Hungary and Romania)

All of them are in great shape, let me know if you want a picture of the cover of any of them via PM, If you buy several books together I can reduce the shipping costs for you, will ship them via USPS. I will accept Venmo, PayPal (F&F) or Zelle.

I've sold many items on the forum but happy to talk with anyone direct or by PM about questions. First one to say I'll take it and PM me their shipping address gets them.

Thanks

Pat

I will take #5 please.

That's the first time I've seen #11 advertised here. It's one of the few Euro hunting books in English that is excellent!

Only books number 3 and 8 remain available, thanks to all for buying them up quickly

Thanks a million Pat. I'm cooking dinner or I would've answered. You're a good one!

Everything sold with the exception of Bateleur (paperback novel) - Craig Doria - $10 plus $5 shipping. (new book release in 2026, good read). This one is a novel set in Africa dealing with ivory poaching

Have a copy of Shooting the British Double Rifle By Graeme Wright 3rd Edition?

That isn’t going to cost me a kidney?

I don't have a copy of the Shooting the British Double book you inquired about.

Don't expect USPS to be under $20 for shipping. I went to FedEx yesterday to ship another AH member some ammo and it was still around the same as always. FedEx has a new "One Rate" shipping option that goes 2 day air and it is less expensive than USPS they advertise so that may be a better option, it looked like to ship an envelope with a book would still run just under $20.

My problem with selling and shipping books is you try to price the book fairly for being used compared to what Amazon shows to purchase but Amazon gives free shipping to Prime members so by the time you add shipping to your book sale you're charging them more than they can just buy off Amazon. Essentially give the book away and ask for shipping costs to be covered. At least the books are going to another AH member who will get some enjoyment and maybe pass them along versus just sitting on my shelf never to be read again. Good ones I want to reread I keep in my library.

I have a copy of the 3rd Edition, it's a great book. The "going rate" on the 'web seems to be about USD $200 and I'm sure that there are any number of vendors who would sell you a copy for that amount (or more).

Why not purchase a new copy of the 4th Edition from someone like Buffalo Arms for $55 + shipping? Newer/updated version and much less expensive. Just a thought.
