For sale.
Blaser R8 Pro S 458 Win Mag with Selous barrel. This rifle is the Pro S version with the non removable trigger guard/magazine. Everything else works like a standard R8. Will accept any and all R8 barrels. Everything is in excellent condition. Barrel has been fired maybe 40 rounds. 23” Selous barrel with banded front sight and v notch rear sight. Banded sling swivel. No noticeable defects that I can see. Very accurate and handy to carry.

$5000.00 plus shipping. NO SALES TO CALIFORNIA.

@TOBY458 you are giving that away. If you were in the UK I'd be heading over to yours for a tea and that rifle. Glws

After a bit of thinking, I’ve decided not to sell this rifle. I was thinking I probably don’t need a 458 anymore, as my elephant hunting is most likely over. But ya never know!
You'd have to change your handle to TOBYNO458

Saw where Jaqua’s in Findlay, Ohio has a Mauser M03 for sale in .458 Lott, I think for $4500. Kinda similar, I guess. FWIW.

Saw this post and thought "oh no, what's happened to Toby.." Glad all good, but got me thinking about a local use for a 458 here in Louisiana.
Big bore hog hunting sounds fun, punishing, and a great real life way to safely (sort of, unless charged) to learn to hunt and shoot big bores in realistic scenarios... bacon thumper.

I think if they did, the magazine would only hold 2 rounds. I wish they’d do a 404 J. I think that would hold 3 and would be a nice classic cartridge as well.

Use a 338 Lapua Mag magazine. The 416 is the parent case.

I could change my mind on this one. Five bands is a lot to say no to. lol!

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
