Pre-Order Your Set Today! Be the first to receive our new sticks during first quarter 2021.

Engineered to Deliver

The new Fly’s Eye® Bipod is engineered to deliver unmatched support with twice as many points of contact as traditional shooting sticks. The innovative pivoting head clamps onto the top sections of our two-piece aluminum connector which anchors the rear support arm. This new model offers best in class overall performance due to this intuitive rugged design; ability to change the point of impact to a material degree (25’ at 50 yards) without repositioning the sticks; compactness when taken apart; light weight; and quietness — all backed by the only unconditional lifetime warranty in the business. Like all of our other shooting sticks, these are hand-crafted, one-at-a-time, in our Ohio workshop and to our knowledge, are the only product of its type Made in the USA.

No expense was spared to build the best product possible.

  • The pivot head utilizes an investment-grade aluminum casting sleeved with an indestructible polymer that fully encases the stainless steel pivot ball. The rear support arm can open up to 30 degrees and this creates a 20” span between the two points of contact. That length is ideal for double rifles, single shots and bolt actions.
  • Two different versions of this pivot head were prototyped for extensive testing before we perfected it and filed our patent.
  • The new one-piece suede leather top slides over the front wooden posts and is designed to work with double rifles, bolt actions and single shots. This new top does not lock the forend rigidly in place, so by shifting where your forend is in them, you can move the point of impact approximately 25’ at 50 yards to follow moving game. When you fold the sticks up to walk with them the leather top is securely held in place by the scissoring action of the wooden tops
  • If you do not have the extra few seconds to deploy the rear support arm, or are taking a close shot and do not need it, you can use them as a traditional bipod.
  • When we tighten the larger screw on the pivot arm, it constricts the aluminum sleeve and the indestructible polymer that lines it to secure it to the top section of our two-piece connector. You do not need to adjust it and that one screw alone is enough to secure the pivot arm. However, we always like to over-engineer our products so In order to provide additional security, we have added a smaller black set screw that is sealed in place with Loctite® at the factory.
  • The rear support arm “V” is designed to go behind the pistol grip of the rifle. Do not put it directly behind the trigger guard as they are not designed to be used from that position.
  • When in use, the spread between the bottom legs on the ground is 3’-4’ depending on whether you are on the shorter or taller end of the height distribution for the size you purchase. This spread is required to allow the rear support arm “V” to spread out far enough to securely hold the rifle stock behind the pistol grip.
  • We orient the support arm differently for left and right handed shooters; please ensure you select your preference when placing your order.

Using Your Sticks - Setup Procedures

Note: Always keep your finger out of the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.

  1. Spread the bottom legs of the bipod 3-4’ apart so they are at the proper height.
  2. Once the forend is in the front “V”, grasp the rear support arm and pull it back towards you. The rear support arm is designed to stay where you put it so it will require a few pounds of force to open or close it.
  3. Once that is accomplished place the rear part of the stock just behind the pistol grip in the rear support “V”, which is cushioned with two black plastic caps to protect your rifle.
How to change the point of impact up, down, left and right. Based on our testing the options described below will cover almost all situations encountered in the field.
  • If you want to move your point of impact down, you can step forward into the sticks and change the main section from being perpendicular to the terrain to angle them slightly forward. You can angle them downward by up to 10 degrees.
  • If you want to move your point of impact up, you can step back from the sticks and change the main section from being perpendicular to the terrain to angle them slightly back. You can angle them back by up to 10 degrees
  • If you want to move your point of impact left or right, the front shooting stick rest will allow you to do so. Once you reposition your forend in the bridgetop, the top will hold it in that new position.

Advantages versus other models

  • Intuitive design that is easier to adjust; there are no buttons under tension that all have to be pushed in at the same time, or sleeve you have to carry to make them longer or shorter.
  • Heavy-duty construction and new suede leather front tops make them extremely rigid
  • Lighter weight: Less than 3 pounds.
  • Quieter: No hollow aluminum tubes to conduct sound
  • Compact: Shorter when taken apart; the longest section of our XL model is only 38” long.
  • Nothing affixed to your front sling swivel which makes it difficult to carry or sling your rifle.
  • Covered by the only Unconditional Lifetime Warranty in the industry with local spare parts inventory if you lose or damage anything.

These look more compact and less unwieldy than the other quad systems I have seen. Interesting.

Just under 3 pounds depending on the length ordered. That is with prototype parts and while we do not expect it to change much we are holding off on an exact weight until we get production parts.

Mule deer and Colorado elk seasons almost done! Hunters driving farm roads, looking for racks, their PH driving them along, I ask that you not pull into my drive. The buck behind me, on the boundary line of the GMU somehow knows. The hunter laughs, I would invite you in to see my Searcy rifles but social distancing prevails, darkness arrives and the buck slides away into secret tree grove...
