Feeders in Africa

I wonder if the rhino is “ruminantia”? I think yes

I installed another salt bottle today and threw some corn. I saw that the boar was moving in that part of the field.
Otherwise, I don't shoot them at all now. I just feed them. They come every night for food and it wouldn't be difficult for me to shoot them. I decided to shoot only the boar, not the other pigs.

They come at the same time, I could catch them alive. Today, I set up the camera next to a plot of corn, I noticed tracks. They sent me pictures 20 minutes ago

Guts, bones, and an automatic feeder for night hunting in a blind.

Ok.....

Why the boar?

Shooting sows reduces the hog population, improves habitat for other animals, and reduces destruction of agricultural fields.

Shooting just boars does little for population control as unseen juvenile boars can slip in, unnoticed, to impregnate sows. Thus the continuation and increases of wild boar/pig populations.

You realize they are native game to Europe? They are not an invasive species like US and managed differently.

Question:

Please explain;
Why?:
By just shooting the boar[(s)]?

Are you looking to supplement your/your family's pork meat intake? By thinking killing boar hogs, is a conservative way of hog population control?
Or
In someway a way to balance/ maintain a steady hog population while controlling/ limiting crop damage?

We had African Wild Swine Fever. In 2021, 9 out of 10 pigs died of disease. Now I don't shoot them because of that. For the population to recover.

Thanks for the info and your endeavors for conservativion.

I really enjoy it. It doesn't take much time and it's not far at all from my family house in the countryside. Whenever I have time, I go to the hunters and take them something. I also have one fawn that I found as a child with a broken leg. We preserved it and now it is very big. I'm thinking of releasing him into the wild in a few days.

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
