This client wanted to hunt this Blue Wildebeest with his .450NE. After lots of walk on stalk, on day 2, he finally dropped it with a 500gr bullet. We walked up to the animal who was still alive and tried to get up. He put another 500gr bullet in the heart area, which triggered the Wildebeest! He jumped up and ran as if it was never been hit! It took another 2 rounds of 500gr bullets for him to expire! For this Blue Wildebeest it took 2000gr of lead to put him down!
Wildebeest can be TOUGH! Shot placement is extremely important!
