Eurowings to resume flights between Frankfurt and Windhoek

German low-cost carrier Eurowings is planning to resume scheduled flights between Germany, and Namibia, aviation specialists routesonline, have said.

“Eurowings in late-June 2020 plans to resume long-haul service, initially operating Frankfurt – Windhoek route,” reported routesonline.

Effective June 30, 2020, the airline will operate three weekly return flights on board Airbus A330-200 between Frankfurt Airport and Hosea Kutako International Airport.

“Namibia is also famous for its overwhelming natural beauty and the hospitality of the locals. All of this is in reach when you book your direct flight from Frankfurt to Windhoek,” said Eurowings on its official website.

The airline added that the Frankfurt–Windhoek service was available as a direct flight with Eurowings flying non-stop from Frankfurt to Namibia in 10.5 hours.

“We are excited to welcome you on board soon.”

Do they ( or will they) carry firearms?

. . .You can book large pieces of sports equipment such as bicycles (except e-bikes), skis and surfboards online up to before web check-in closes before departure, either at the time of booking the flight or at a later date. There must be sufficient storage space available on the plane.
Of course, you can also book your equipment onto the plane by phoning our call centre.

Sport guns
If you would like to travel with sport guns, please contact our call centre. Online reservation is not possible. . . .

They are owned by Lufthansa, which will take firearms, so in theory they will. But can anyone get from the US to Frankfurt, and then will Namibia allow a US citizen in?

I think Americans are still personas non grata in Europe, no?
You are currently correct. And this will continue until we get Covid cases down to a level the EU considers acceptable.

To enter Namibia you need a valid COVID test. And stay for 7 days at your destination. Preferably hunting lodge and have one test done after 5 days. Still a bit complicated. Lufthansa has negotiated to fly 3 times a week as of 19. September 2020.

And news from Lufthansa on repatration flights to Germany in September from South Africa.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
