A training session with your DG double rifle can be hard on you sholder, your eyebrow and your wallet...
Here is my solution....
SxS shotgun with two .22 Hornet insert barrels and red dot.

Ok, but give more details.

What gauge is the shotgun, where did you get the hornet inserts/who makes them, and show some targets so we can see what kind of accuracy that can be expected. Oh, and do you need a gunsmith to install them.

Please

Looks interesting. If available in a 410 it would be a fun small game set up. Sort of like the double rook rifles. Do you modify the extractor?

Very nice idea @HWL
Why did you go for insert barrels and 22 hornet rounds?

Other calibers? Or just brenneke slugs?

Nice. I would argue that simply using a classic SxS with double triggers on sporting clays is just about as effective.

Chaszel makes 18” and 24” inserts in various calibers/guages. No gunsmithing required. Uses O rings to seal insert tube.

My interest in doubles is mostly theoretical since they don't really match my hunting style but I've been fortunate to shoot a few.

We use heavy double shotguns we shoot slugs and buckshot through it but we also shoot a lot of doves and pidgeons. DRY fire is a must too .We control and cull hogs and water buffalo with our #chapuis rifles.

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
