We are working with John Blackwell/Fawnie Mountain Outfitters in BC. John has been in the outfitting business in BC since '69 and offers bear and moose hunting plus salmon, trout, stellhead fishing.
John takes only a limited amount of bear hunters each year and that allows him to keep the trophy quality high and expectation should be for a bear squaring 6.5' to better than 7'. You are allowed two bears and John's area offers 100% success on at least one bear per hunter.
One aspect of this hunt that I really like is if you get your bear or bears in the salt early which is very possible John will fly you to his Moose Lake Lodge for some spectacular rainbow fishing at no additional cost.
The hunt is all spot and stalk via pick up and glassing from vantage points thoughout the 960,000 acre guide area.
You'd fly to Prince George, BC where your guide will meet you and drive you the 2 hours to camp. The camp is tented but has showers, comfy cots etc.
The hunts are 7 days with one opening May 25-31 and two slots on June 1-7.
