Hi All
I am hunting in Namibia in August next year for Dik Dik and black faced impala .
What costs can expect for these for D&p and to ship to Lauriston Taxidermy in Grahamstown South africa.
just looking for ballpark figures

Regards
Chris

I passed on some info to Ozishooter in a PM , but for others wondering on cost!
Our Total for 6 animals dip and pack and all associated freight costs was $4200 AU , pretty expensive I thought and if we had of known that is was that expensive I probably would of put that money towards getting them mounted in Windhoek!!!!!
We got terrible advice from our outfitter!!!

It cost me $1,200 (US) to get a buffalo and baboon from Mozambique to RSA in 2021.

Is that cost just from Namibia to South Africa?

Check with Greg at Lauriston and see if he has any ideas on shippers and possible costs.

Why not have the taxidermy work done in Namibia? Skip the dip and pack and get it all done in Namibia and then ship to Joberg and onward to Australia.

Otherwise you are looking at freight and handling from Namibia to Joberg to Grahamstown, back to Joberg and then to Australia.

That’s total cost so around $1000 for dip and pack and we also got hit with an admin fee that I forgot to mention which was about $500 because we changed freight company!!!!
As I said I should have put the 4K towards taxidermy in Windhoek!
Was our first trip to Africa and we got bad advice from outfitter , we will be wiser for next trip in 2027 !!!!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
