Good day ladies and gentlemen I hope this finds you all well and as a company would like to wish you all a happy new year and a prosperous one at that. It is that time of the year that we hop over the ocean for marketing and to see all our friends and clients . Unfortunately this year has brought is own challenges with visa complications for Zimbabwean passport holders by the USA government. But this does not hold us down and York and Johny will be there to attend , i unfortunately will not as I am on a Zimbabwean passport.

That being said we have some Avalible’s quota avalible in a few of the areas as listed below with quota avalible for 2026

Hippo x 1

Omay

We may construct combinations for these species to suit your requests. Please get hold of either me or York on email or watsapp

Will D&Y have a booth at SCI?

Hope to catch up with Johnny at SCI, would love to meet York after his lovely family showed such hospitality on m departure the end of Halloween. Sad to hear you will not make it, but understand in the uncertainty with some of our regulations and borders presently. Sure hope this finds you and yours well, and will reach out on WhatsApp.

Cheers,
Will

looking forward to sitting down with York at the SCI show in a month

Mr. Dalton, I wish you and your business well and hate to post anything negative on your thread. But I can't help pointing out that answering your email may be just as effective marketing as overseas trips.

Several months ago I sent you an inquiry about a dangerous game hunt for me and my son in 2027 or 2028. You responded promptly and sent me a price list. I was very interested, and sent you another email asking for more details. Okay, I sent a lot of questions. And yeah, some were probably stupid questions.

You never sent a response. Maybe you thought I wasn't serious.

But while I was waiting for you to respond, I was also talking to other outfitters. And one of them did answer all my questions--including the stupid ones. I booked with them for July 2027.

Always sad to read a post like this but know it happens and with a lot of outfitters. I can share that Dalton & York are busy, enterprising young men that work hard to make memorable, safe, rewarding hunts for clients, but are still a small operation in that they wear several different hats. I know for my last trip, most of my correspondence with with Dalton and he was always very responsive. There were times when it might take a bit before I heard back, whether while he was also guiding as the primary PH in a remote area or on holiday with his family in Mozambique, there are times he will not have ability to respond promptly, but would feel confident in saying it was not because someone asked questions, I was proof of that. I think most outfitters will want to answer your questions, since even if you didn’t hunt with them this time, maybe next.

I’d simply encourage if you are interested in hunting with them, or any other outfitter/PH who is the foot on the ground PH and office manager and everything else in between at times, is reach out a second time if several days or week goes by without a response. Likely learn they had cell issues for part of the time and may have also simply overlooked an email they intended to reply but were sidetracked.

I’d say from my personal experience Dalton is wonderfully responsive, but he’s also human so I’m sure he’s forgot to hit reply a time or three, as have I in my own work, so always apologize and ask clients to please reach out again if they haven’t heard back.

And, often, as with a lot of these gents, WhatsApp may prove a lot quicker response time than email.

Cheers, good luck on the hunt you booked, and hope you give these gents another try, I personally think they are amazing and have created something special between the quality of their areas, management of the concessions and talented hunters.

Yes, I've heard nothing but good about D&Y--that's why they were one of the outfitters I contacted.

Maybe I should have sent a follow-up email, but another outfitter was responding to me without prompting. Good communication is very important to me, especially when I'm thinking about spending what is for me a lot of money.

I apologize to Dalton and York for crapping on their thread. Dalton has explained to me privately why he couldn't get back to me, and it was a valid reason.

I had assumed he didn't respond because I was asking too many questions and he thought my inquiry wasn't serious. I was wrong, as it turns out.
