Dakota Traveler barrel swap

I bought Dakota Traveler on this site, .416 Rigby/338 Lapua. I can’t get the 416 barrel off. Watched YouTube video, loosening threaded screws, opened bolt, it won’t budge. What is the secret?

Sounds like there's some dirt between the pieces. Barrel should slide on and off easily so anything getting between the two will cause it to stick. Give it a good jerk and should come loose.

Thinking I should ship back to factory, are they still operating after Remington bought the company?

I use PB Blast with the nozzle. Try that or Kroil where they meet. If that doesn't work get a snap cap and tap it with a cleaning rod.

Bruce, please show us how that handsome rifle shoots once you get the kinks worked out.
A young Canadian couple I met on my last trip used one. It was truly a handsome rifle! Theirs was a 375 H&H.
