CZ 550 404 Jeffery For Sale

With sadness I have decided to sell my 404 Jeffery. The only reason I’m selling it is because my dad and I have decided to partner up and buy a Krieghoff double in 375 flanged and I need some funds. I have made several modifications including installing a red pachmayr recoil pad, shortening barrel to 23 inches, new front sight, timney trigger installed and shortened L.O.P to 13.5 inches. I have not adjusted the rear sights since changing the front sights so that still needs to be done. This gun shoots excellent and feeds well. It is not a show piece but rather a working man’s 404. It has several small dings and marks in the stock, all put there by me carrying it through the bush in the Selous. It has a killed a buffalo, which ran about 30 yards and collapsed with one shot. There are several marks on the left side of stock that I have tried to show with pictures. It has less than 100 rounds fired. I am asking $3000 for gun only which is less than I have in it, but I realize it is used and has some wear. I can sell the scope as well if interested. It’s a leupold VX 5hd 2x5 with illuminated reticle.

Thus just makes me dislike CZ, as a company, that they stopped making the 550 in these chamberings. I came late to the party for getting these.

@krish bro are you starting up a sanctuary for CZ550s?? If you are you can get volunteers to help take them all on day trips to the range

Hey buddy, borrowing fees moving them back and forth across the pond can get pretty expensive.

Yes I do. One MRC ELITE and a Less Bauska custom. For me they are like piece of Art. Every one is different. They have their own beauty. They may look like the same but different in many ways.

They are not initially making an DGR's, but I, and others on the forum, have emailed them or talked to them in person and have put in our requests for their Model 1999 PH action to return. They maintain that if they are successful with short and long actions, then they will bring back the PH rifles. They are making the actions in house and they will not longer be cast from what I understand.
