BTW, volumetric weight is charged by the airlines, not actual weight. They have their own formulas to figure this out. My 224 kg billable weight crate actually weighs 108 kg.

Airlines are thieves. They rounded my 78 kg up to 100 kg of volumetric weight. And with a Buffalo, you don’t have many options.

That’s always a great feeling, hard part over with!

My last crate went through JFK too. It sat there for a little over 2 weeks. But was well accounted for and I did not receive any storage fees as it was in bonded warehouse.

For some reason SSI importers likes to go through JFK. Worked well last time so I suspect my upcoming crate coming in 2026 will go the same way.
