My house is filled with knives! More than usual that is

Working on the engraving today. Its a little slow as the fan on my engraving laser decided today was a good time to die, so I have to use an external fan to keep the unit cool, and try to not use too much power too quickly.

The engravings are still coming out awesome though. An example below

Update:

The Mrs in full logistics mode!

and a box of packages ready to be picked up this morning by FedEX

And then a pic of the rest of the batch. These knives are all done, sans some cleanup, engraving and sharpening.

Just need to make sheaths for them now, which is where the time really is

I’ve been tracking the shipment. Not that I’m anxious to get it in my hands or anything!

My knife has been in Harare, Dubai, Paris, Milan, Grace-Hollogne, Belgium and is now at the FedEx hub in Memphis, Tennessee! Don’t you love modern logistics!

Mine has been in Memphis since Wednesday. It cleared customs apparently. Or just as likely, it’s on its way but just didn’t get clocked when it left Memphis. Harrumph!

Ahhh Memphis, the bane of my life! Been keeping my eye on the tracking, there's 4 that are "under inspection" there for whatever reason, never mind the other 6 that went through no issues! I will never understand shipping companies!!!

They never make sense. Sort of like when someone ships something from Florida to another Florida address, and somehow the package gets sent to Minnesota or California first before going back to Florida to be delivered.

Just an update for everyone.

All of the knives sent out in the first batch of shipping should be in the hands of their new owners.

The second batch of knives are now all done and sitting on my desk in my house waiting for their sheaths.

The pic above also shows the mountain of other orders I'm trying to stay on top of as well.

As for the sheaths, it has now dawned on me how much I underestimated how big a task I have set myself by making all of these leather sheaths!

I've had to set up a new leather workstation in my lounge so that when I come in at night I can keep working. And of course the Mrs is helping out massively too! But, it is taking me longer to make them than I had originally hoped.

Thanks for the patience from everyone. I guarantee it will be worth the wait. Making sure each knife AND sheath is as good as I can possibly make it.
