Hi, a couple questions. What does a <=95 CIC chamois look like? Are those still mature animals? Can you post pictures of smaller chamois with estimated CIC? I don't care about score, but do want to shoot a mature animal.

I've never been on a hunt that had increasing cost for bigger trophies. How does it work? The client tells the guide how much he is willing to spend and they then tell him whether a certain animal is within that range? What if guide estimates 97 CIC but ends up being 105 after you shoot it?

Thank you, I'm giving this offer serious consideration for 2024.

Hi, we don’t shoot young animals. Usually the females are scoring up to 100 CIC. Males are scoring much because of the thickness of their horns and length. An old female can be around 95-97 CIC.
I would suggest to go for the fix price package and will be no surprises for you with the size.
Those are up to 100 CIC

Beautiful!

Very nice Chamois, thanks for sharing!

This is without a doubt my next hunt in Romania. I am not ready yet but you will be the first to know as soon as I am. I loved Romania, probably the most beautiful country I have ever visited and the people are so warm and friendly. Romania was one of the best hunts i have ever been on and a big Chamois is way high on my bucket list!

Also, if someone wanted to make it a 7 day hunt what other game can be added? Say late November early December?

Agreed, Romania was a total surprise. What a beautiful country!

I hunted with Marius in Romania for roe deer in 2022 and highly recommend him as an outfitter and Romania as a hunting country in general. A country where hunting is really part of the culture. I cannot wait to go back for Chamois or Fallow. It is quite economical relative to other options too. Cheers

Carpathian Chamois can be hunted in few areas from Carpathian Mountains. On the rocks, high altitude usually we hunt up to December. Depends on the weather. Sometime even late November is impossible to go up because of the snow.
In other areas, where the mountains are covered by trees we can hunt them even late November, December with very good results. ( very good visibility, no leaves, etc)
We can hunt this time only wild boars and exceptionally red stag. I’m saying exceptionally because we hunt them mostly in rut ( end of September) and if we still have licenses left we can hunt up to 15 of December.

Carpathian chamois, one of the biggest from chamois family.

Marius enjoy reading your posts. I have a question. Is it possible to come to Romania and hunt a stag, fallow and chamois on the same hunt. Possible a 7 day or so hunt? Do the hunting seasons over lap to make this happen. Thanks
