Cape Buffalo Hunt — Looking for Recommendations

[ThinAirHunter]

Looking for recommendations for a top-quality Cape buffalo hunt in Africa.

I’m currently looking for a hunt, preferably in Botswana or Namibia . The priorities are:

• Strong buffalo population and genuinely good trophy quality
• Free-range hunting
• Experienced PH and a quality hunting operation
• Comfortable, clean accommodation
• Great food and good overall service

I’ve been looking at SV Safaris in the Chobe area of Botswana and would particularly appreciate hearing from anyone who has hunted with them or has first-hand experience with the operation.

I’d also be very interested in recommendations for other outfitters/concessions that you believe offer an exceptional combination of buffalo quality and a high standard of accommodation and hospitality.

Thanks in advance for any genuine first-hand feedback.

Talk with Karl Stumpfe with @Ndumo. Lots of buffalos in the Caprivi area.

Divan safaris operates in both Namibia and Botswana, he would be able to check all the boxes.

We have some excellent Cape buffalo hunting opportunities available in both Namibia’s Caprivi Strip and Botswana, with genuinely wild, free-range buffalo and very good trophy quality.

We operate small, personalized safaris with experienced professional hunters, comfortable accommodation, and a strong focus on good hospitality and the overall hunting experience.

Our 2027 buffalo quotas are very limited, with only a few opportunities still available, so I’d be happy to provide more information on the areas, available dates, trophy quality and packages.

.

Namibia - Free range, big populations can only be Caprivi.

On the last two points in all our African DG hunting we have never had a bum camp or poor food. Had one bad camp experience hunting fallow & serval near Ermelo but all others have been great. Pretty much givens !

It would be in Zimbabwe or Mozambique but I would strongly recommend Charlton McCallum. I chose them for my first hunt this year and couldn’t possibly be happier. A turn tracking hunt and the opportunity to sold a day on the Zambezi fishing is a real bonus.
