This hunt is for a buffalo on foot, in thick scrub on approximately 7,500 acres. Limpopo province, South Africa up around Rooibokrall. The land is thick bush, this is not a "there he is in the open" type of hunt. The pucker factor and fun factor will be significant. The property is fenced with about 20 bulls. This hunt will be for an old hard bossed bull in the 36-38 range, with no particular animal hunted...just a hard bossed bull. Based upon last years hunts, it took an average of 3-4 days to get in good position for a shot.

The sable, kudu, and all of the other plains game will be hunted next door on the 30,000 acre parcel. Excellent kudu and sable have been taken. I myself have hunted with the outfitter twice and take a 57" kudu with my bow, limpopo has some great kudu.

why are the horns sawed off?

My guess, old breeding bull?
Nice offer by the way!

Correct. They aren't "sawed off" at all. They are worn down from age.

Nice offer Tom! Who is the hunt with?

Tom

Look at your last picture and those horns are sawed off.

They are not worn or rubbed they have been cut off.

Could have been done sometime to prevent damage during transport. Remember this animal often are bought at auctions and put out. The statement are that there are only bulls in the area, wich is normal for hunting cape buff on private property in RSA. Often it is designated breeding areas and separate hunting areas. So I still vote for old breeding bull....

Hi guy's let me just quickly clear this one up for everyone.

The horns were not sawn off he was just and old bull with warn down tips/ broken from fighting a trophy that most hunters dream about. We took him out of a herd of +- 150 cape buffalo roaming free on 8 000 acres!

Please contact Tom should anyone be interested.

Best Regards
Louis van Bergen
