Oooof. Just seeing this. I could not be in camp for 15 days, but absolutely would’ve done it.

Just out of curiosity. What are the absolute minimum time frames and requirements for a short notice trip like this for those that may not be prepared but would consider it.

Check list:
Flights
Rifle permits
Invitations
Deposit Payments
Import/export arrangements for trophies.

The outfitter and a good hunting travel agent could do it quickly. No worries.

I don’t know. But I would be down for the cause to kill all that I could between the time frame I inquired about. . Just hate that I missed this when initially offered.

Wow, heck of a deal. I am going to be in Namibia on another hunt during this time frame. Been seeing enough of these cancellation hunts come up, that may be my new strategy. Dont book a hunt, wait till a deal falls into place and be ready to go !!

I didn’t jump on it immediately because I have a training scheduled during that window; found out this morning training is being rescheduled….

Now, I know I have a heart because it’s broken!

I took that last minute hunt in April and from the time I spoke with the outfitter to being fully booked with flights, gun stuff, and hunt deposit was 24 hours. And of course I can pack quickly as I pretty much stay packed.
This took a good relationship with a TA- PWP Travel (they already have my stuff), already having 4457 for the year (our guy is doing it electronically so could do in 2-3 days easily), and being bank savvy for the wire transfers. I can move quickly but 24 hours is pretty remarkable!

What do you mean by your guy is doing 4457 electronically? Doesn't CBP have to physically see the gun?

Of all those things the 4457 is probably the easiest, I can drive to Dulles and get it done any day of the week 24 hours a day.

I can book a flight quickly, the slow down would be permits and letter of invitation etc. from the outfitter.

The hunt would take place in chirundu adjacent to nyakasanga on the Zambezi river . This little oasis is an incredible honey hole and a joy to hunt . The package is for a 15 day safari . Dates avalible July 15 - Aug 18 2026.

All daily rates are paid and the only thing left is the taxes and trophy fees

Elephant bull $18000
Buffalo $6500
Leopard $9000
Crocodile $6000
Hippo $5000

Multiple plainsgame .

This is a great chance to hunt all these species in a special place at nearly have the price . We understand this is short notice but we were only informed today . We hope someone can fill this opportunity

sounds interesting, is ele trophy exportable to USA. Also what is avg weight . trophy size on buff? and success rate on leopard.
