Canada proof of ownership and export for rifles

Good day all

Can any of our Canadian members please assist me? One of my clients are coming from Canada this year and for the temporary import license of firearms we need to submit proof of ownership as well as proof of export from country of origin. Where and how can he obtain proof of this?

You will need TWO Export permits actually.
One for your firearms and the other for Ammunition and Scopes. (Different Export Control Numbers and apparently we have some treaty with a country to our south that determines whether certain "optical weapon devices" may be exported temporarily or not)

Some African countries require proof of ownership in order to grant an import permit. Americans use the Customs form. I use the Canadian Export Permit as proof and have never had a problem.

Would that be Mexico? It surely couldn't be the U.S. We always mind our own business.
