Yes it was. My cousin Bonnie is his son's partner. He was a very nice man. Small world!

He was a well known man in SAR in BC I was down in Prince George taking my Search Managers course when it happened. Most of the people on the search where friends of mine. They where totally devastated by what happened.

Man there is a name I have not heard in a long time! I'm pretty sure I took an avalanche course from him at what used to be Azu Ski village ( now Powder King) in the late '70's or early eighties. He was a legend. I was in the ski patrol at the time and back country or 'off piste' was the thing.
