It was WJVS pleasure to welcome to Wag 創 Bietjie camp, 1st time hunters to South Africa, John and Vivienne Murray with children Katherine and Alex who are all the way from Anchorage Alaska! We had the safari planned that the Murray's would hunt at our Wintershoek Private Game Reserve for a few days and then move onto the fantastic Thuru Lodge area near Upington and finally to round the trip off in Natal at a BIG 5 photographic lodge.

Our long time great friend and Mexican agent Eduardo Gomez recommended the Mora family group of 5 hunters join WJVS on a hunt at our Gamagara area this past August. It was Rafael Sr, Rafael Jr, Brendon, Julio and Santiago's 1st safari to Africa and we welcomed them to South Africa with a blast!! The group started at Gamagara and ended up at Thuru lodge with a total of 36 animals...

1ST time hunters to Africa Tim, Sandra and Josh Twietmeyer from Washington USA, were accompanied by cousins Jack and Shirley Twietmeyer from Saskatchewan Canada on a 10 day safari with Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris in July. The Twietmeyer' s started off their safari at Wintershoek Private Game Reserve with Ph's John Tinley and Yvan Nieuwoudt and ended their splendid trip at our Gamagara Camp with Ph's Lash Le Roux and Stephan Jooste.

WJVS would like to thank past client, John Fry for recommending the Sax family, Kenji, Cindy, Scott and Joel from Reno Nevada USA to come on safari with us this year. The Sax family booked their trip with Braam and Mardoret to go to our Thuru lodge area and Ph Jeremy Scheepers was their guide. It was the Sax family 1st trip ever to Africa and although they are not avid hunters, everyone had a great time and opportunity at hunting an animal of their choice.

First time to Africa, Spanish clients Javier and Maria Tejedor teamed up with Spanish Agent Tomas De Castro and Ph Otto Hager for a hunt at our Gamagara and Thuru Lodge areas. Armed with a .270 Sauer rifle, Javier had a spree of some excellent 1 shot kills on the species that he was after. It was only the highly underestimated Springbok that wreaked havoc on Javier's shooting average! The couple had a fantastic experience and was totally overcome with emotion when they were surprised one evening to a magnificent sundowner...

It was indeed a great reunion to welcome friends and business associates Peter and Lyle Turner from Pretoria South Africa and Akram and Hassan from Tanzania. Akram is the proud owner of the renowned and most respected Kilombero North Safari Company in Tanzania. It was absolutely fantastic to have you all back again and especially this time round to hunt and experience our Gamagara camp and area.

Once again it was our pleasure to welcome back to Wintershoek Private Game Reserve Cliff and Sharleen Walker of Cliff Walker Safaris Zimbabwe. Cliff and Sharleen brought with them the Peyerk family from Michigan on a 10 day Rhino and Plains game safari. Pro hunters Johnny, Strauss and Cliff were on hand to help take care of the group with some really quality animals been taken in our Wintershoek area. Chris has hunted a number of times with Cliff throughout Southern Africa.

The day finally arrived when Ph Le Roux Coetzee picked up at the airport in Kimberley, Chad Gay from Bloomfield New Mexico and Kelen Lovett from Cortez Colorado USA. We first met Chad at one of our annual promo' meetings in Farmington New Mexico about 6 years ago and the planning of this hunt started then. Chad has been on 5 other African safaris with different outfitters whilst Kelen was celebrating his debut hunt in Africa with Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris. Due to the fact that this was already Chad's 5th safari his species list included a few selected species; whilst Kelen on the other hand had a monstrous hit list of 25 different species that he wanted to hunt!
