[...] Read Full Post > Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris once again welcomed super huntress Jodee Kuden, all the way from Anchorage Alaska on her 3rd hunt with WJVS. Even though Jodee only stands at 5ft 2inces, she was in search of hunting the world's largest land mammal the African Elephant!! Pro Hunters Yvan and Colin took Jodee into the Jumbo infested communal areas in Botswana where they managed to take a bull out of a herd of at least 80 Elephants!! [...] Read Full Post > From Spokane Washington USA, we had the privilege of welcoming a super couple in Stan & Karon Wiggs on their 1st ever safari to Africa. PH Frikkie was called up to tackle our Wintershoek Private Game Reserve area with Stan who was in search of Sable and Kudu as his top priority species. After their 8 night safari with WJVS, Mardoret arranged a 3 night Big 5 photo safari up near the Kruger Park which rounded off a great safari to South Africa. [...] Read Full Post > Whilst busy studying in Cape Town and with a few days in hand away from the grind stone, Ivan De Anda from Mexico took the opportunity to come and hunt with WJVS at Wintershoek. In actual fact, it was a birthday present from his Dad Alejandro (nice Dad)!! [...] Read Full Post > Clients and friends from Canada, Anthony Tiberini and Frank Cosentino hunted with WJVS last year and both hunters were back for more exciting action out in the field at the beginning of June. They introduced us to their friends Adrian Di Biase and Luigi Frustaglio also from Toronto, who decided to take a trip along with Anthony and Frank. After taking a lot of plains game last year, Anthony's main target this year was Buffalo, which would be the 1st of his Big 5. [...] Read Full Post > It was an exciting day to welcome back to Thuru Lodge Grady Leavins from Florida USA on this his 2nd hunt with PH Jacques and Braam. Grady brought his brother Earl from Georgia USA with him to experience his 1st African safari with WJVS; we welcome you to the family Earl. The whole hunt was conducted at our exquisite Thuru Lodge area which is only an hour's drive from the town of Upington. Armed with a 7mm and a .308 respectfully, both hunters did extremely well out in the field displaying some excellent marksmanship. Nearly 80 years young this September, Len booked a management package cull hunt via Fred Williams to take 20 animals in 6 days of hunting.
