The girth is impressive! I bet the nerve went almost to the lip line but the sheer heft of the tusks still making close to 90lb!

I think really thick tusks are more impressive than long tusks weight for weight.

That thickness looks like Botswana west or Namibia east? I think of Tanzania ivory as thinner/longer for the weight, but....I am not the one to ask by a long shot! Where did you get it?

BTW--how long was the nerve in the tusk? Did it cause it to weigh less, was it filled in due to age?
