Good day AH,

As the season draws to a close each year, we always find ourselves doing a great deal of game management on our own. This time around, we thought — why not turn all that hard work into something enjoyable and rewarding? So, instead of us doing all the heavy lifting, we saw a wonderful opportunity to invite our clients to join us for a fun and purposeful hunt — a chance to cull some animals on a large reserve while enjoying the experience together.

Accommodation will be off-site, just a comfortable 30-minute drive each morning. The lodge itself is absolutely lovely, with all the amenities one could hope for. I’ve attached a few photos below so you can get a feel for it. Each day, we’ll head into the reserve with packed lunches and spend the day out in the bush. In addition to the management hunt, there will also be opportunities to hunt trophy animals both on the reserve and around the lodge — please feel free to chat with us if that’s of interest.

The pricing looks as follows:

Cull animals:
$795 / €680 Giraffe cow
$950 / €815 Young Giraffe bull
$220 / €190 Impala ewe
$250 / €215 Impala rams under 21"
$550 / €470 Zebra

Daily rate:
$450 / €385 (5 day hunt, Monday to Friday)
$260 / €220 per day observer rate

*Minimum of 10 animals to be hunted
*Hunting season May through to end of September
*Other hunters/observers welcome at additional cost
*Fitness is helpful

Daily rate includes:
• Licensed Professional Hunter, a Tracker, Skinner and hunting vehicle.
• Accommodation on a full board basis, incl. non-alcoholic drinks and table beer/wine
• Transfer from and to Johannesburg international Airport unless otherwise stated.
• Transport between and on hunting Area A and Area B unless otherwise stated.
• Laundry service (Except on Sundays).
• Field preparation of Trophies.

Daily rates excludes:

• Hard tack (whiskey, brandy etc.)
• Firearms and ammunition. (Rifle Hire available at request)
• Hotel accommodation before and after the hunt – if required.

• Personal expenses ex. Tips, Telephone, Souvenirs etc.
• Tourist Programmes

I tried to upload a few more photos of my trip to the reserve but had troubles with the internet. However, there are plenty of giraffe and impala!

Thank you for that! Definitely no shortage of Impala and Giraffe haha!

So, I can pick 10 zebras if that’s what I want?
In theory yes, but they are one of the trickier ones to get!!

I have been cursed in regard to zebras. I have shot 3 in the last several years. Two never got shipped as the outfitter got cancer and died, last one got damaged in the salt and had to be thrown away.

If I can schedule a cull hunt before I go and shoot a wild lion this year in Zambia/Zimbabwe/Tanzania then I will. Will be at DSC.
