cmon you bow hunters

this is a great deal and i have space late season, lets make it happen

what a thrill this hunt will be

walk and stalk on a buff in the thick stuff, or by ambush, this will be an amazing hunt, once that arrow flies the fun begins, the adrenaline dump will be overwhelming
will u be able to calm yourself in order to follow up on "black death"

we have a crossbow you can rent if needed, will add an extra day if needed for practice and training on the crossbow

cmon hunters, lets get this booked

Great offer Stew, man if I was able to travel this season we'd be putting that ole' FAIR to work! Congrats to your daughter and Rudi btw!

Thx erik
Would be great to hunt with you
Thx much appreciated

The game birds have bred exceptionally well this rainy season, with populations of guinea fowl, sandgrouse, and francolin currently thriving. If time permits during the hunt we can enjoy some great bird shooting. The best way to end a long day is to bag a few sandgrouse.

cmon guys, this is a great deal for a buff bull with a bow
have seen some great bulls coming in to water where we have bow hides

we have a xbow you could rent

our season is running along nicely now
after the good rains we had through the summer and into late autumn the bush is still very thick and grass is very long
i have been doing this going on 21 years now and i am not sure i have ever seen the bush look like this in June...it feels like we are hunting in March
some highlights so far are a great oryx, 2 very nice old buff bulls and a few good pigs, amongst others

i will post a few pics

we have space for this package in mid August and october
may be able to squeeze someone in september

contact me to get hunting guys

regards

That does look like a great deal, but I'm already booked for a buffalo hunt at the end of July. Looks like it's really close to where you are located. Outfitter says bush is very thick, especially for this time of year. Makes you really work for it. Hopefully it starts to thin out a bit by the time I get there. Good luck.

Curious as to why bow only for this hunt.

Gotta put a buff down with rifle first then ill consider one with my bow :)
i would like to get a bow hunter to hunt a buff with a bow.
we do limited bow hunts, but we are geared for it and 2 or 3 resident phs are avid bow hunters ourselves. so i would like to try and get more bowhunters.
we also have a xbow that a client could rent to do this hunt

looking forward

What are the minimum requirements for the bow hunt (i.e. draw weight, arrow weight, etc.)? Not sure I can pull a bow back that would be the required weight. Older I get the lower my tolerance for pulling a string. Would have to go for the crossbow if it was too heavy. Great offer.

hi sir
its a balance between draw weight, arrow weight, broadhead etc to achieve decent penetration
i will send u a DM about all this
but safely if you can pull 75lbs u should be good to go, even slightly less

we do have a xbow you can use for this hunt

looking forward to get this hunt done

See my July 30 note on this site titled "Three Years" regarding a buffalo with bow. Bow was 67 lb and 29 inch draw length with a VPA single bevel broadhead 740 grain arrow at 219 fps. 20 yard shot. Arrow penetrated a rib through the heart and stopped against a rib on the far side of the chest. 150 yard recovery. I didn't want to shoot from a hide. Took us five days and several stalking attempts to get in position for the shot

Thank you sir for some first hand experience on this
And congrats on getting it done

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
