Botswana Dangerous Game Hunting

Great ele congrats!

I've never heard of citizen quota elephant before, could you please explain a little bit about it, if you don't mind.

Absolutely. Botswana government gave citizen quota in problem areas. Mostly where there was conflict with elephants destroying crops. The quota was given strictly to Botswana citizens to hunt these problem Elephant. They must be accompanied by Botswana PH. The community areas and concession areas were given quota for international hunters. Hope this helps.

When hunting "conflict elephants" does the citizen hunter get to keep the tusks?

thanks for explaining

Which blocks respectively have these elephants been hunted from? All this season?

Hunted the Caprivi last year and witnessed giant elephant, buffalo and even big tom leopard across the river in Botswana every single day we were hunting or traveling/sightseeing the width of the caprivi. (We were either looking from a NP in Namib over to non-park lands in Bots or vice-versa, including driving through a chunch of Chobe NP on the way to Vic Falls), but saw lots of big game everywhere (including crocs and hippo.) The Okavango swamp of course is simply amazing, but we crossed the river several times near the border of the two countries.

Yes. The license holder gets the tusks. The meat goes to the community.

NG 49 is a great area. I drove that way 2019 with many big bulls near the road. This is a special place to hunt and you won’t be disappointed with the destination .Also the phuduhudu community would really appreciate the benefit!

Hello All

In order to sell some remaining Elephant quota I will be discounting this hunt by $5,000. That will bring the cost to $60,000. This will be same deal, all inclusive with NO HIDDEN FEES. This area was not hunted last year due to Covid. Season begins in April and runs to September.

Thank you

I hunted with Jaco many many moons ago, You will not find a better PH IMHO!
Jaco Ill see you for a spotty & some plans game in about two years.

Pat
