Yes, Kevin Robertson has 2 pocket sized books along with 2 full size books, The Perfect Shot and The Perfect Shot II. These books are specfic to Africa game. Craig Boddington also has a Perfect Shot book for North American game. Both Craig's and Kevin's books show the images of where the vitals are located.

As @375Fox said the book Ask the Namibian Guides is very good and provides a lot of tips applicable to hunting in Southern Africa.

There are many, many great books on African hunting from the past and more recent times. Some of the authors I like are: Robert Ruark, John Taylor, Teddy Roosevelt, Richard Harland, Harry Manners, Peter Capstick, Arthur Neumann, William York, Wayne Michael Grant, John F Burger, Craig Boddington

I would think you can.
There used to be a great outlet for all sorts of sporting literature (Safari Press) but they sold out a few years ago to another company and I can’t remember that companies name.

Yes, you can probably get some of them on Amazon but not all. Many of them are no longer in print and you may need to look in other places, such as eBay, Abe Books etc.

Both of Fred Everetts books, they will be the best Africa Hunting life stories you will ever read. The Bell trilogy, the word on elephant hunting. Wild Beasts & Their Way by Samuel Baker. Jim Sutherlands book The Adventures of an Elephant Hunter, Bunny Allen- Wheel of Life. Those are some of the best books I've read so far.

A very good book for some of the questions you have asked would be “Ask the Namibian Guides” It’s $20 for used copies on Amazon now. It’s practical hunting questions and answers for hunting Namibia from several of the top PHs about 15 years ago. Still very relevant today. I enjoyed reading it even after hunting Namibia several times.

Just bought it given my first trip to Namibi. Thanks @375Fox !

John Burger wrote several good books. J. A. Hunter also wrote some great books. Ian Nyschens book “ Months of the Sun” is a great read. There’s a lot of great books out there !

I’m in the final chapters of John Burgers “Horned Death” and just ordered another of his books through Whistling Thorne Press. Even though it directed me to Amazon

To me another good author of African books is Peter Flack, he wrote species specific books, all of the spiral horns, buffalo and one on roan, sable and oryx.
They are a little expensive if you can find them but are worth it IMO.

His Heart of an African Hunter can usually be found for $25-30. I read it after my first trip to S. Africa in which I had unknowingly hunted a property he had put together with friends.

If you don't mind buying used, I would also look at AbeBooks and Alibris. I have bought a number of my African hunting books there.

I’m sure these are good options too, but if you can find title on Amazon you can scroll down to used from other sellers. I’ve gotten some really good deals. I rarely buy a new book.
