Blaser R8 Barrel For Sale .425 Westley Richards

Hey guys,

I’ve decided to sell a brand new, never been shot Safari Contour (22mm) barrel made by J. Sip and Sons. Barrel was made with a Krieger blank, and upgraded with band mounted front sight and sling swivel, along with an ERA rear sight.

Barrel cost was $1770, and a 12 month wait.

Also included are an RCBS die set, 42 pieces (qual-cart and 3 Bertram) of new brass, 80 woodleigh soft points and 100? original Westley Richards LT capped bullets.

Looking to get what I paid for it back, so $1770 + shipping

is the sale price and I’ll include loading components (worth several hundred dollars) for free.

Not looking to separate, if it doesn’t sell, I’ll keep it and buy a stock/receiver set. Feel free to ask questions!

Man it's a shame that J Sip didn't work out. It appears he makes really nice barrels, but just couldn't get his operations in order. I bet this barrel will shoot really well.

Agreed, the barrel itself is nice, but the finish and sights are sloppy compared to a factory Blaser.

I went over 8 months with no communication from Justin, and only when I asked for a refund did he actually finish the job. I’d really like one of his 450 bushmaster barrels for MI deer season, but unfortunately will never purchase something from him again, at least until he develops a much better reputation.

I’ve given up on ever seeing my .300 WM back from Sip. On a side note, I have talked to Pale Horse Zero and I bought a 9.3 Sisk reamer for them. So if anyone wants a 9.3 Sisk barrel made by them, they will be able to make it.
It had never occurred to me to get a .425 made in a Blaser barrel. Has me thinking.
