“The Hunting Game” by Kevin Thomas would scratch that itch for you.
“21 Days in Africa” by Donarski is pretty entertaining.
Sporting Classics publishing has a handful of good offerings-I would start with “Africa” Forty One adventures from the dark continent.
I have gained a lot from Boddington’s books, not written for adventure as much as just sharing experiences but there is lots of interest in them.
“Tall Tales” by Charlton is wonderful as is “It Shouldn't Happen” by Robertson which are more adventure reading but very Good at that!
