I plan to pillar bed my Classic M70 and it has the two recoil lugs. Do i bed the front recoil lug on the barrel or can it be free floated? I would really like to find someone in the Phoenix area to do this for me. At a reasonable cost for a perfect functional and cosmetic job. Completed in a timely manner without some bs excuses why it is not done. LOL ;-) I know this is asking a lot these days but it is what it is. Any help is appreciated.

The CZ has a barrel and an action lug. I bedded both on my CZ 458 lott. You don't say if yours is a big bore, I think high recoil rifles benefit from both lugs being bedded. Small bore, probably free float the barrel. I think with high recoil, correct bedding of barrel and action lugs helps spread the load and reduce risk of splitting the stock.

Thanks for your reply @Nhoro .
It is a 375 H&H. The barrel lug and the action lug appear to have been bedded at one time with a
semi-pliable material. Most of which is missing
now. My M70 was mfg in 1998 at New Haven.

I would bed them both with epoxy. I am not familiar with the Winchester front lug but You just need to think about getting both lugs to bear the recoil evenly. On the CZ, it has a metal insert under the barrel so i bedded that first, ensuring good contact and could push back against that steel when I bedded the action recoil lug. The CZ action lug has a chappy plastic piece behind it so pre- prepared for bedding. Probably 1/4" of space behind the lug so it made sense to bed the barrel and then the action. If the winchester beds on wood, do them both at the same time.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
