Kimber Super America 338 Win Mag, bought new by me over 20 years ago, if you find a mark on steel or wood it will be miniscule, 26" barrel, 7-3/4 lbs as shown, 13-5/8ths factory LOP, factory untouched trigger breaks like glass at maybe 2.5LBS shoots 225gr TTSX's and 250gr Partitions with extreme hunting accuracy, it's boring, you don't want to waste the components, round count less than 150, Talley steel bases included, $2100 shipped to lower 48 where legal to your FFL from an individual, AK and CA higher.

Weatherby Mark V 340 Magnum, beautiful Brown Precision synthetic stock, 13-7/8ths LOP, 24" barrel, weighs 8LBS as shown, old benchrest shooter Gunsmith buddy of mine cut a beautiful 11 degree recessed target crown on the muzzle, trigger breaks a very clean 2.5LBS, barreled action was bedded and floated by Brown Precision, you'll also look hard to find any mark on this rifle, be it metal or synthetic stock, the rifle has 50 rounds through it, fires 225gr TSX's with boring accuracy over H-4350 powder, iirc they clocked around 2925 fps, comes with a barely used set of FL Redding dies and 49 sticks of once fired Peterson brass, the Talley steel bases and 30mm rings will also be included, they used to hold a Nightforce SHV 3-10 rifle scope, talk about a bulletproof combo, this is it.

A new Brown Precision stock made to handle the 340 Weatherby is over $1500 bucks and a year and a half out, this one is ready to bust any plains game animal, bull moose or elk right now, $2000 shipped to the lower 48 where legal to your FFL from an individual, AK and CA higher.

Woodcarver says he'll post up some pics later, many Thanks again for that good Sir.

Are you selling 2 rifles and the Weatherby comes with 2 stocks? or are you selling 2 rifles and a spare stock?

Woodcarver, Thanks again for posting the pics Sir.

'68boy, I'm offering for sale what you see in the pictures, the pictured 340 Magnum is in a Brown Precision stock, no spare, or extra stocks, only the listed brass and dies for the 340.

Thanks

Yes Sir they are, anyone need specific area closeup pics of either rifle PM me a cell number and I'll fire 'em off to you.

Also had old Gunsmith bud polish up ejector plunger button on 340 Magnum as well as cut some very heavy spring from stock to go under plunger button and new extractor I ordered from Weatherby, very reliable extraction of fired or unfired ammunition, it never failed but is an older Japan rifle, just wanted fresh springs and extractor.

Thanks

Up for the weekend for a fine pair of medium bore game getters.

Both Awesome rifles if I didbt already have 18 338s and 3 338-378 i would snag one .Hope they find a good home and go huntimg .

Thank you kindly dgr416, holy smokes, I shudder to guess the amount of 416's you have ; ]

You're definitely well covered on 338 bores, getting the feeling the standard firearms market may be saturated and soft, these were but the first two offered out of the gate.

Pre-64's in 338 WM and 375 H&H were up next along with cool little 6,5 Swede in a Bansner stock built on a DWM 09 Mauser action, a cherry tang safety Ruger 7x57 I bought over 35 years ago in hopes Wife would go hunting with me, classic Super Grade 300 Win Mag in beautiful walnut too.

Looked at gun safes yesterday, could just happily live with the overlap in cartridge/rifle platforms.

Alright, market saturation and soft rifle sales confirmed ; ]

New Safe will be here next Friday, now to not overfill it too.

These rifles are off market, will store 'em for awhile, they're certainly not eating anything.

Thanks for the advertisement and views AH.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
