In all seriousness, and as I have not been to Africa yet, moose is probably the closest to what was described in the OP for me. I was fortunate to have been trained by a group of guys who may drive to an area but then its on foot into the bush. Basically the truck is a mobile rest stop/supply centre but the hunting takes place on foot. However, I do see lots of people patrolling up and down the logging roads on their ATVs looking for moose. If I had been trained by the guys who just drive around I probably would not hold moose hunting in such high regard. When I go to Africa (I hope) next year I would not want to drive as much as was described in the OP, that is for sure.

I sure did not walk all the way from Durban to get to the base of this mountain. If you want to walk more, get out and walk more. I think the OP has his plan and he can work it on his net hunt. Just don't complain when the trophy count is lower.
