Back from Africa. How are you paying the bill to the PH?

I am back from Zimbabwe. The take was an elephant, a dagga boy, and 2 enormous crocodiles.
The PH asked me to pay using YOCO app. We could not get the card to run there, or at home, even in smaller amounts that should be under my card limit. I plan to attempt a wire transfer at the bank.

How did you pay your deposit? Other than South Africa, every hunt payment I’ve ever made has been a wire transfer. I have two banks that refuse to wire money to Zimbabwe though.

I paid with the YOCO app in Nashville at the SCI.
I have an appointment at the bank to make a wire transfer. He is based in SA.
I went to the bank today without an appointment and they gave me a bunch of shit acting like there was no one there able to do a wire transfer??

My favorite ph is a great friend of mine, no issues, once im home I wire him payment due, plus tip, works out great for both

Seriously, wire transfer deposit, cash at the scene, wire transfer to pay all the stuff I didn’t account for.

Man, I’ve paid all kinda ways. Wire, check to bank in the USA, picture of check sent to PH. Pure ass cash. ( Not really crazy about toting 25000 to Zimbabwe! )

Where I do my banking not all of the employees have authority to do wire transfers, so it is possible no one there could do it.

Like others, I've done wire transfers, PayPal payments, cash, credit card payment before leaving camp, one outfitter last year I wrote out a check, sent him a picture of said check through WhatsApp, he was able to deposit the check that way.

I’ve done wire X-fer to two PH’s after I returned home. I’ve done one easy-to-africa with another. The E2A was convenient, but I got a scorched ass on the fees. I will not use that particular payment method again. Ever.

Get robbed traveling once and you won’t ask that again. I’ve replayed and replayed the incident in my head and still don’t know how they managed to steal my cash. Wire transfers and other electronic payments are much safer.

It's been a while but it was a combination of wire transfers before and after. I also took a crap-load of cash, on the order of $5000 if I recall correctly. The taxidermist was paid by wire transfer. My bank was convinced I was being cheated somehow and asked to see that the taxidermist was a legit business. Showing them the shop's website was enough to convince them. I was actually thankful the bank was cautious.

Not doubt true, but you shouldn’t have been carrying that much cash in NYC. Hunting is illegal there anyway.
