Australian Government attack on reloading

Man you haven’t lived . Bundy isn’t like any other rum on earth . It is a food group of its own .
Yes, Bundy is unique. You can taste the humidity and cane fields the instant the cap comes off the bottle.

It’s as rough as hell with the scent of paradise.

Yeah I have just been reading up about it with the hate speech laws completely shelved it looks like all the focus is on Gun Control? But there still seems to be more Political NAYS than YAYS?
The maths says it will pass.

The Greens didn't oppose the Bill because they champion free speach. They opposed it because they, and their supporters, were at the center of the anti-semitic protests and hate speech. The worst case has happed and the Bil has been split. The hate speech provisions have been shelved and the Government is rushing ahead at full speed with the anti-gun owner parts. It demonstrates that this was never about terrorism, public safety or the Bondi murders. It was always only about persecuting lawful firearm owners. The ALP, like all wanabe dictators, want to end private firearm ownership in Australia pure and simple.

My understanding is that New South Wales pushed through on an “Omnibus bill” named something like Terrorism and other legislation bill.

Firstly, law abiding citizen’s firearms owners don’t think firearms legislation should have been under that description.

It’s wrong anyway you read it.

Otherwise my understanding is that they wrote it and effectively passed it within 5 days within a recall to parliament right before Christmas “to prevent further attacks” I’m not sure how that stops it cold or stops anything immediately.

The federal government announced it and the NSW premier jumped.

I think there are 3 parts. Terrorism, Firearms and police minister powers to “ban” protests or gatherings for 30 days.

Someone said coincidentally they included Australia Day.

Australia Day has been getting a flogging because we are to embrace multiculturalism and refugees etc.

There is more support for minority sectors and nationalities and government polls regarding changing the date.

One national supermarket promotes Diwali, profits from Easter Eggs but stopped selling Australia Day merchandise like paper plates, cheap flags or flag related merchandise. The Dollar Store equivalent still sell these.

Most government depts or corporate businesses promote pride month and multicultural dates more than Australia Day celebrations.

I’m happy for those people to do their thing if it’s not illegal or hurting others be we are forced to change our culture so as to not offend them.

I reckon this is the best ever thread on reloading.....:ROFLMAO:

I feel a tiny bit responsible for derailing it.
Hahahahaha- I came here to see if anyone down there had any neat recipes for 45-70 loads and left with a hankering for campfires, rum and political donnybrook….God, I love this place!

The Labor Government shows its extremist anti-gun agenda by attack on reloading. A Bill titled "Combatting-Antisemitism-Hate-and-Extremism-Bill-2026" contains some of the most punitive proposals anywhere in the world, (including Russia and Iran). Although suposedly about Hate speech and Extremism, approx 60% of the Bill concerns further restrictions and penalties on lawful shooters. The Bill is some 144 pages of detailed legislative amendments. Clearly this wasn't put together in response to the Bondi shooting. This has been put together by zealots within Government just waiting for the oportunity. The legislative head of power relied on is the telecommunictaions power which allows the Federal Government to make laws in relation to telecomunictions.

Schedule 4 Part 7 of the Bill is off particular impact in that it creates offences for on-line publishing, accessing, using or storing of relaoding data or information about ammunition components. Likewise it also criminalising on-line information about manufacture or modification of firearms. (That would even include maintanence intructions, how to fix stuff, competition tuning etc.) Looking at 5 years jail.

It will be an open question what impact the Bill would have on overseas companies that publish their load data on the internet in a manner accessible in Australia.
This bill will have zero impact on foreign companies, other than affecting sales of their products in Australia. They will not be criminally liable if they are not based in the country... their operations there may be disrupted, and local divisions, outlets etc... may be impacted.
Australia has absolutely insane leftist/socialist/globalist policies. I am sure other secretly (and mot so secretly) socialist governments (Canada) will use this to springboard similar regulations in their countries aswell.

For those poor unfortunates who have never tasted Bundaberg Rum - think molasses + 40% alcohol ( for the under proof version ). Add coke and stand by for a sugar rush that will keep you going all day and night . Then smoke a cigar and you sound like Tom Waits .
@PCC600
And if you have the over proof version after a few of those you will think you Tom Cruise and Mohammed Ali rolled into one. You will think your the world's answer to women and fighting but in reality your more like Ronald McDonald and the Muppets rolled into one

I am glad we have lightened the mood . Some guys were getting a bit carried away . Now back to a reload of my rum & coke .
@PCC600
Just remember rum like reloading is dangerous if you over load on either. To much rum like to much powder can have bad bad consequences.

Bob you are spot on . I remember being pulled aside by my father when I was about 19-20 years old and being told to lay off the rum and big steaks . Throw in some testosterone and it was a bad mix for me . I thought I was unbeatable - but always seemed to be getting stitches and my nose reset .

Sounds about like the stuff made on the creeks. After the farmers have made cane syrup. And some one took the skimming to a copper pot. Smells good taste like gas if your lucky diesel with wasp if you’re not

The technical term is “properly loaded to full potential “ according to technical Bob. He is a Whelen nut with a penchant for .25’s, .35’s and older actions that can handle Full Potential loads.

Technical Bob, I like that. Uncle Nick is gone do maybe we can have an Ask Uncle Bob column.

Agree Chris.
We are all different coloured crayons in the same box, we need to learn to play nicely together or take our bat and ball and go home.

That maybe true but I do it safely and still below the limit.
Where's the fun in life if'n y'all don't push the boundaries now and then.
That's right, boring

Be careful of hunting Chewore South, the area has been decimated.....

Curious about this. I hunted Chewore South with D&Y in September and they did tell me it was there last hunt there.

Which outfits shot it out?
