AUSTRALIA: Hunting Cape York With Traditional Owners OCT 2025

That was fun to read. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure! So different than hunting our native Canadian game with one tag per species per year, If you're lucky to get a tag. So much opportunity!
We're going to do it again in 2027 (will plan for August when it's a bit cooler) - the host family has weddings and stuff getting in the way this year. I'll take my 458JCE next year

What about the double mate? She will get jealous.

We'll see - there wasn't a lot of close shooting on this trip. The DR would be good on scrubbers but my first bull was a 190m shot - not ideal for a double
I'm taking the Jeffery to NT in August for Buffalo

This an exciting discussion

As some of you know I have hunted quite a few cape buffalo.

Now I am looking for a water buffalo cull hunt in Northern Territory, Australia for September 2027 but so far I am not getting very far. Does anyone here have suggestion of an outfitter that I should talk to? Thanks very much , any suggestion of where I should start looking will be appreciated. Thank you, brian

Hi Brian,
My son and I are hunting with Simon Kyle-Little of Australian Big Game Safaris
But ours will be a trophy safari. Check out Simon's webpage - I reckon he will be able to point you in the right direction.
Don't expect a quick response - he's usually guiding somewhere in remote Northern Territory or Africa.
Cheers,
Evan

@Brian

I’ve been to Australia twice, both times hunted with friends.

When I come back for my 3rd trip, I’m going with Alex Jagers .
He’s a sponsor of this site.

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.
