Here’s my rifle. It’s a Voere 2165 with a night force 3 to 12 x 56. The muzzle brake was on it when I bought it. It actually came in a new Woodstock, but I was worried with all the recoil that it was gonna get destroyed and it’s very Bavarian. It’d be very hard on the face.

The ammunition is Brenneke TOG and the FMJ RWS V-mantel.

The stock is a Sabatti stock for a mauser 98. I believe my 2165 is probably a Hungarian or Czech commercial 98 clone. Voere turn military and commercial 98 into their 2165.

Looks like hundred meter groups with the RWS around 2 inches, and the same for the TOG. 50 m groups are around an inch.

One thing to note I do not have any 30 mm rings for a Picatinny rail that would work so I had to use this tier one unit amount. I will put some regular high 30 mm rings on it when I find some that work. Pete rails are getting more popular in Europe, but things aren’t on shelves everywhere.

I think I am happy with 2 inch groups at 100 meters. If you can't kill an elk with a 6 inch group at 300 yards, I don't think you can kill an elk.

I need to mess with the 250 Accubond. I have 200 KJG bullets coming from SAX. These are a commercial version of the Lutz Moeller bullets he used to make before he died in 2023. Super high velocity 157 grain copper. I am hunting red stags on German federal lands and you have to use lead free ammunition in September.

I upgraded the trigger to a Box N Andy, and the safety. The 2165's have a tang safety, I removed it and bought a new Voere safety.

Fast nasty recoil, but with the brake and thumbhole stock it's manageable. I don't think it weighs 8 pounds without the scope. Going to try to find another brake that has better recoil reduction.

Lighter bullets will help a lot. I think the RWS FMJ's are 285 grains.

The TOGs are almost pleasant to shoot by comparison.

@Muskox
Great groups but to me it looks like a bit of vertical stringing. I would check the bedding and try a bit of pressure on the forend tip.
I could be wrong tho

Whilst 2" groups are good 1" or less gives more confidence and that rifle is capable of that.

While radial port brake are effective the tanker style are much more effective.
You could add some weight to the rifle that would be just as effective and better for your ears.

Hello,

Might this be of interest to you?

I have several 9.3x62 calibre rifles, not 64 – I deliberately chose not to, as I don’t see the point.

Otherwise, I shoot for Europe and, if necessary, North America, using only TOG 247gr ammunition, which really boosts and revitalises this calibre. My rifles are a Sauer 202TD, an S90 and a Heym SR30. I’m under 1 MOA and with a DRO setting from 0 to 250m, everything goes down – even big deer. Further out, I switch to a .338 but zeroed at 100m, using an S&B Polar T96 scope with a turret, just like in the US
The 247 g Brenneke TOG is undoubtedly the best 9.3 mm ammunition for game ranging from roe deer to bear

I'll soak a couple of pieces of card stock in oil and put it under the fore end.

Yeah that is what my rifle looked like before I updated it.

The TOG would not work for me, as most of the places I hunt you have to shoot lead free ammunition.

Wilhelm Brenneke? I don’t think Otto Bock care about a cartridge that he did not introduce. Yeah it’s not traditional.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
