I would like to thank @ActionBob, @Royal27, and @Bullthrower338 for making yet another weekend opener so great. I had so much fun and it is so great to have such awesome friends.

First morning set went ok. We killed a few birds but had fun and a lot of laughs.

After the morning hunt we had some lunch and broke in the new 5 stand set up.

We took a break and went and released an axis deer real quick before finishing up the clay shoot It was then time for the evening set. Had some pretty good bird action.

My son took everyone out the next morning as I had to run an errand with my wife. Mid day the guys built a ladder for one of the bunk beds which I greatly appreciated. One of those things on the to do list for ever but haven’t gotten around to it.

After this we went and shot Bob’s wonderful double guns. It was an honor to get to shoot his 470 NE double and what a shooter it is.
The evening hunt was pretty uneventful as the wind kicked up super high.
We did some more shooting the next morning, went on a photo tour through the high fence, and did a little fishing. By the evening Bob was the last Indian so we went and killed a few more birds and enjoyed a beautiful Panhandle evening.
Wonderful weekend with wonderful people and I’m already looking forward to next year!

Guys I was horrible about taking pics this year. If y’all got any more photos please post them.

My dove hunt about 25 miles east of Little Rock was my first in four years. It wasn't bad, but with about 30 guys on the field, I knew about 5 of them. The humidity and mosquitoes were horrendous until about 8 am. Not nearly as much fun as yours. Seven more weeks until I move there close to my son. May have to try getting over to you next year, especially with the band of misfits in your company!

Did Royal have to pay extra for the snake? Or was that included in the dove hunt price?

Na rattle snakes are good target practice. Now my non venomous snakes is a different story. Big no no to shoot one of those.

Thanks Erik for a wonderful time once again! I had an absolute blast with y’all at the Rockin G!
Great food, great company and sunsets like this make for memories that last forever. Thanks guys!

The high fence portion of the ranch is anything but a small pen. Around 350 animals in there and we laid eyes on very few. Seen two stud Audad that got my wheels spinning a bunch of fallow does and young ones as well as my favorite exotic the Scemitar horned oryx.

Go see @gizmo at the Rockin G and you won’t be disappointed he has a truly special place!

Cheers,
Cody

Looks like a great time among family and friends!

We had a great time for sure! Great friends, great food, and great hunting.

Building the ladder was a blast and quite funny with all chiefs and no Indians. Since I always get top bunk it sure was nice to have though. LOL!

Oh guys am I jealous! That would be a fun time!
Gizmo, I’m still trying to work in a trip down either toward the end of the year, or early 2019. You just have too nice of a place not to get to visit!

Thank you Phil and I can’t wait for the opportunity to hunt with you again. FYI December is pretty full. January is open and November is pretty open.

I’m still shaking my head that you let Larry, Moe and Curly play with tools and guns!:D

Glad you all had some good, safe fun.

I won’t call it clean fun, because I saw some of those other pictures.

Always a great time at Gizmo's Rockin G Ranch;) I apparently didn't get much for pics either, just too busy having fun... I do have a short video of Royal shooting my 470 NE, without hurting himself:)

Since you put it that way, maybe I should reconsider my idea of trying to go out there next year!

Yea pretty safe this year and last year as Erik was not the main cook... So these past two years I'm not heading North leaving a trail of wrecked bathrooms from the hot black lava flow of half digested killer spices:eek:

Bob was kind enough to let my son shoot that beautiful 470 NE double of his. Boy handled it like a champ!

That 470 is really a pussycat to shoot compared to even a 416 Rigby. Well balanced, not much muzzle rise, correct weight at 10.5 pounds, no scope so even Royal came out unscathed;)
