The basic pillow with springbok, blesbok, North American deer or elk are $120 plus shipping each ( Texas residents will have to pay tax at standard rates). This particular elephant is in a vintage tan, I have other colors as well from a simple grey to black, nicotine, honey, and bark.
The stitching is all kangaroo lace and the pillows are double stuffed (the springbok pillow above is just a display and actual pillows have more stuffing)
Gizmo, how much if we mail the hair on hides for the pillow face to you? I have several hides I retained for just this purpose!
It would depend upon whether you are wanting a single or double sided pillow. But assume a single sided pillow it would be less the cost of the show side hide soooo.... I'd say $90 per pillow as I have labor, stitching, backing, and stuffing.
Plus shipping, also it depends upon the #of pillows you want made at a time. The more at once I can keep the cost down per pillow a bit. 10 or more pillows at once I could do for 85. That includes kangaroo lace stitching.
Very nice Erik. When my hides get here from SA I will be in touch. Are you going to branch out to gun cases by any chance???
Biggest thing is I need to make each thing so I make sure it functions properly and I have templates to use. It's going to take a few months to get the basic product line out then I will be adding to it as time allows.
Friggin cool dude. I may have a pillow or two for you to make somewhere down the line. Curious if there is enough to make a pillow on some of the back skins I have lying around that I just had to have as I was leaving Africa!
Very cool Gizmo. I'm definitely interested in seeing what your rifle cases look like when you start making them. Great to see your taxidermy company coming along. Looking forward to see what you come up with next!
Hello sir, yes I can make them out of back skins. There are several ways to stretch the amount of pillows out of one skin also. Please feel free to pm or call me and I'd be glad to visit with you about it.
I'm leaving on a resource collecting trip in May, I certainly will keep this in mind. Think it would be cool!
