Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill
One of the most abundant species of the Kalahari, the Southern Yellow-Billed Hornbill is a medium sized bird that eats seeds, small insects, spiders and scorpions.
This bird is also known as Zazu in The Lion King.

A sand waterfall on the coast of Namibia. The desert is pushing into the ocean little by little each year.

The Namib Desert tries to claim the railway, but bulldozers are keeping the tracks clear

Kolmanskop was a former diamond mining town in the early 1900's

You will find the highest sand dunes in the world in Sossusvlei

Best time is second half of August and first half of September.
Just Google "Namaqualand flowers" and you will see what we are talking about.
People come from all over the world to look at the flowers.
